Couples Counseling
What is couples therapy?
Couples counseling places your relationship at the center of the counseling process. You and your partner meet together to explore and address your relationship's struggles, goals, and dreams. We know your relationship is unique and special; together with your counselor, an individualized plan will be developed to help you and your partner meet your relationship goals.
Couples therapy can help you learn to:
Address frequent fighting or arguing
Reduce struggles with intimacy
Discuss financial stressors
Improve openness and honesty within the relationship
Create and establish healthy boundaries in relationships where appropriate
Work through feelings of hurt and betrayal
How does counseling work?
The first session's primary goal is to listen to you and your partner's concerns and get to know you as a couple. Based on the information you provide, recommendations will be made regarding the focus, desired outcomes, frequency, and length of counseling. Your specific relationship goals and personality types will determine the strategies and approaches used during counseling.
